AEW kicked off a new era at AEW Worlds End, as Samoa Joe beat MJF to win the AEW World Championship. At the post-show media scrum, Samoa Joe made it clear that he wanted to make changes to the title, as MJF had been carrying around his custom “Triple B” design.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that there has been some talk regarding the creation of a new or “altered” AEW World Championship. It is not clear whether the title will be a new design, but the company is in the process of making some potential changes.
After Clemson beat Kentucky in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl, Tony Khan presented coach Dabo Swinney with a custom AEW World Championship. The custom title came with Clemson side plates. Per Sapp, there are at least side plate options for the new championship. Additionally, Sapp writes that the new version features a black background behind the AEW logo.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
